Elire is excited to join Quest Oracle Community for Oracle Cloud Summit – Virtual, bringing together Oracle Cloud users and experts to share practical insights, experiences, and strategies.
This year, Elire experts will take part in three sessions covering challenges and opportunities across Oracle Fusion Cloud, from navigating complex 9/80 time cards to building a long-term reporting strategy and developing Redwood extensions with Oracle Visual Builder Studio.
Here’s what you can expect from Elire at Oracle Cloud Summit – Virtual.
P-053433 | Elapsed 9/80 Employee Time Cards: Finding Solutions for Weekly Redwood Time Cards
Presented by Sara Petracca
For government entities with hourly employees working 9/80 schedules, accurately capturing time can become especially complex when employees are paid weekly and use elapsed Redwood time cards.
A key challenge is the “split Friday,” where Friday hours need to be allocated between two separate workweeks to maintain proper workweek integrity and overtime calculations. With elapsed time cards, employees enter a quantity of hours rather than clocking in and out, removing the natural time-based indicator for determining how those hours should be divided.
In this session, Sara Petracca will explore the challenges and key considerations involved in implementing weekly Redwood time cards for elapsed 9/80 employees. The session will cover accurate Friday allocation, reported absences, the employee experience, transparency, and the importance of keeping recorded hours auditable.
P-053432 | Building Your Reporting Strategy: Frameworks That Shape Tool Adoption
Presented by Ken Tyson, Kamehameha Schools, and Scott Costello, Elire
A strong reporting strategy starts with business needs, not the tools themselves.
Kamehameha Schools partnered with Elire to create a unified reporting strategy connecting data, tools, and people across Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM. Rather than allowing individual tools to dictate the approach, the strategy focused on governance, user needs, and data accuracy.
This session will walk through how Kamehameha Schools assessed its current reporting landscape, defined a future-state vision, and established a structured framework for report development, validation, and optimization. Attendees will also hear how tools including Narrative Reporting, OTBI, Oracle BI Publisher, and FDI can be aligned with a broader reporting strategy based on organizational needs.
The session will provide a practical look at building a reporting framework designed to evolve with the organization while addressing redundancy, governance, and user enablement.
P-053426 | From Setup to Deployment: Building Redwood Extensions with Oracle Visual Builder Studio
Presented by Elanor Finlayson
As Oracle Fusion Applications continue the transition to Redwood, Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VBS) provides organizations with a way to extend and customize the user experience while maintaining an upgrade-safe approach.
But working effectively with VBS goes beyond editing a page. Teams also need to understand how projects, environments, source control, development, testing, and deployment work together.
In this session, Elanor Finlayson will provide a practical introduction to VBS and the development lifecycle for Redwood extensions. Attendees will see how to configure projects, environments, application extensions, repositories, build jobs, and deployment pipelines, along with how Express and Advanced modes can be used to customize Redwood pages.
The session will also explore how Git repositories, feature branches, merge requests, issue tracking, and CI/CD can support collaboration and structured development from initial requirements through deployment.
