PeopleSoft Managed Services for Nonprofit Research Organization
PeopleSoft Managed Services
Scope of the Project
The National Academy of Sciences initially reached out to Elire via the Elire website. NAS was seeking assistance with maintaining their PeopleSoft environment. They turned to Elire for Managed Services Support prior to making the transition from PeopleSoft to a cloud-based HCM application. Elire was tasked with providing PeopleSoft application and database support, which included applying PeopleSoft patches, performing environment refreshes, and performing production migrations. Elire remained on–call as well to resolve ad hoc issues.
The Challenge
NAS required an environment refresh every few months, however, the Elire team initially lacked information as to what this would require. The Elire Team was able to learn and build the process from scratch.
Success Delivered
Elire’s initial one-month engagement trial turned into almost two years of extensions. NAS was able to decommission PeopleSoft after implementing their cloud solution, and no longer requires support. Elire was able to let their current team retool to their new cloud system while they made that transition. The NAS team was able to focus on their cloud project implementation instead of dedicating resources to maintaining their PeopleSoft application. Elire provided continuity and stability while NAS transitioned to cloud. Elire and NAS successfully ended the engagement on 10/26/2023.
