Elire partnered with the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) to assess its Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP environment and identify opportunities to improve functionality, streamline processes, and increase adoption. Through collaborative working sessions with OHA’s functional and technical teams, Elire identified nearly 100 optimization opportunities and established a roadmap for continued improvement—ultimately extending the relationship into ongoing Managed Services.

Scope of the Project

The Office of Hawaiian Affairs engaged Elire during its Oracle Fusion Cloud renewal to conduct an optimization assessment of its existing Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementation. The engagement provided OHA with an independent view of its current environment and an opportunity to identify where the organization could gain greater value from its software investment.

Elire’s team focused on understanding OHA’s current-state processes, system usage, administrative requirements, and areas where functionality was not being fully utilized. Through facilitated working sessions with OHA’s functional and technical stakeholders, Elire evaluated existing processes and documented opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve system utilization, and strengthen ongoing support.

The assessment also created a foundation for a longer-term partnership, giving OHA access to experienced Oracle Cloud resources who could help the organization prioritize improvements and continue optimizing its environment.

Challenges

OHA’s initial Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation left the organization with several processes that required significant manual effort. In some cases, work was being completed outside of Oracle Fusion Cloud, limiting the organization’s ability to take full advantage of the platform’s capabilities.

These challenges contributed to internal concerns about Oracle Fusion Cloud functionality and overall usability. At the same time, OHA relied heavily on a single resource for many administrative responsibilities within the Fusion environment, creating a need for broader functional and technical support.

OHA needed a trusted advisor who could look beyond individual issues and evaluate the environment holistically. The organization wanted to understand where processes could be improved, which capabilities could be better utilized, and how its teams could establish a more sustainable approach to supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.

Through facilitated working sessions, the Elire team captured nearly 100 opportunities for improvement across OHA’s Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP environment. These opportunities gave OHA a structured foundation for prioritizing enhancements based on organizational needs and potential value.

The assessment also helped shift the engagement from identifying challenges to establishing a path forward. By providing actionable recommendations and experienced Oracle Cloud guidance, Elire demonstrated immediate value while helping OHA determine how to approach continued optimization.

Following the assessment, OHA expanded its relationship with Elire by engaging the team for Managed Services, providing ongoing access to functional and technical expertise. This continued partnership enables OHA to address priorities identified during the assessment while reducing reliance on limited internal resources and continually improving its Oracle Fusion Cloud environment.
