Lockton Oracle EPM FCC Implementation Success Story
Elire partnered with Lockton to help stabilize and advance its unified Oracle EPM Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC) implementation as part of a broader global financial transformation. Facing complex data reconciliation, integration, validation, and application design challenges, Lockton engaged Elire to provide experienced guidance, resolve critical issues, and help move the organization successfully through SIT, UAT, and go-live.
Scope of the Project
Beginning in 2023, Lockton was working toward a unified Oracle EPM FCC implementation as part of its transition from legacy PeopleSoft and custom financial systems to Oracle Cloud. The broader Global Financial Accounting transformation supported operations across the United States, United Kingdom, and other international entities.
As the initiative progressed, Lockton encountered critical challenges involving historical data reconciliation, data integration, validation, and application design. These issues created roadblocks to testing and threatened the project's compressed delivery timeline.
Lockton engaged Elire to address these complexities and provide the technical and functional expertise needed to move the implementation forward. Elire's team focused on resolving application issues, reconciling data across platforms, correcting design challenges, and guiding the project through System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and go-live.
Challenges
The Oracle EPM FCC implementation was a high-visibility initiative with an aggressive delivery schedule. Previous SIT efforts had encountered significant challenges, increasing the importance of quickly identifying root causes and establishing a clear path forward.
One of the most complex requirements involved reconciling multiple years of historical financial data across several systems. Data needed to be validated quarter by quarter as it moved from PeopleSoft to Oracle Cloud and ultimately into Oracle EPM FCC. Differences between source systems, application configurations, and reporting requirements added further complexity.
Within three months of Elire joining the project, Lockton ended its engagement with its previous systems integration partner. Elire worked closely with Lockton's business and technical teams to maintain momentum during this transition, address outstanding issues, and establish alignment between the application and the organization's financial reporting requirements.
Success Delivered
Elire successfully resolved critical application issues affecting the Oracle EPM FCC implementation and helped Lockton reconcile multiple years of historical financial data across its systems.
The team identified and addressed discrepancies between source systems while harmonizing the application design to support accurate statutory financial and management reporting. Through close collaboration with Lockton stakeholders, Elire helped establish confidence in the integrity of financial data and the performance of the application.
The engagement ultimately supported successful month-end and year-end close processes while improving application performance and enabling automated reporting. Elire delivered these outcomes within the agreed-upon timeline, helping Lockton advance its Oracle Cloud transformation while minimizing disruption to critical financial operations.
Beyond resolving immediate implementation challenges, Elire served as a trusted advisor, bringing the experience needed to navigate a complex transition and protect Lockton's long-term software investment. The engagement demonstrated the value of a collaborative partnership focused not simply on reaching go-live, but on building a stable foundation for continued financial transformation.
