Scope of the Project

The Client team was buried in spreadsheets causing issues around audition, accuracy, and reliability of their budget data. The current state distribution of reporting was all manually drive by Finance. The integration to Oracle EBS General Ledger was manual via uploads and downloads in spreadsheets, resulting in a lack of ability to extend or scale forecasting ability within their current budget process.

The Challenge

A large international and public jewelry retailer based on the needed a complete budgeting and forecasting solution that would remove them from all the challenges they experienced in spreadsheets. They needed a solution that would improve their integration with Oracle EBS to allow a constant comparison of how they were tracking from a variance perspective. StratAlyze Solutions implemented EPBCS to eliminate spreadsheet challenges, scale with the business, and provide a dynamic budgeting and forecasting solution.

Success Delivered

The StratAlyze team (now part of Elire) implemented Oracle’s EPBCS for an integrated P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow budgeting and reporting process. The Client team now has access to product level planning of revenue and costs, as well as departmental overhead expenses. The Project team created alternate views for management reporting of financial and operational metrics, as well as built driver-based modelling to support projecting the Balance Sheet and Cash Flow. The Client team now has immediate visibility into margin details in familiar Office tools and have reduced inefficiencies of manual administrative efforts within spreadsheets and integrations. Oracle EBS and EPBCS are now connected directly to give immediate insights into variances, with the client enjoying a delivered, scalable solution that will continue to grow with the business.
