Restaurant Group Oracle Cloud Optimization Assessment
Oracle Cloud Optimization Assessment
Scope of the Project
Brinker International invested significantly in Oracle Cloud, completing a multi-year transformation of its back-office systems—including Oracle Cloud HCM, ERP, SCM, EPM, OIC, and VBCS. Spanning over four years and involving numerous teams and high implementation costs, the transformation aimed to modernize Brinker’s enterprise operations at scale. To support Brinker post-implementation, Elire was engaged to lead a Technical Optimization Assessment across HCM and ERP. The assessment focused on identifying process gaps, improving usability, and maximizing Cloud investment. Workshops targeted key functional areas such as HR Bridge, OTL, TIPS, Invoices, Credits, POs, and Daily Sales Reporting.
The Challenge
A year after the original implementation team rolled off, Brinker’s internal team—new to the system—faced a steep learning curve. The complexity of the Oracle Cloud landscape, along with unclear handoffs and pain points across HCM and ERP, led to workflow inefficiencies, errors, and uncertainty about where to improve. But the immediate challenge wasn’t technical—it was proving Elire was the right strategic partner to re-engage. This moment marked the continuation of a 20-year relationship that began during the Yum! Brands era, where Elire’s Cloud Practice first took shape. Brinker needed a partner who not only understood the system, but also the history and business context behind it.
Success Delivered
Elire mobilized quickly, blending on-site presence with offshore support to accelerate knowledge transfer, capture undocumented processes, and prepare for impactful optimization.
Key results included:
- Early value delivery: Within the first few weeks, Elire provided actionable insights, structured analysis, and demonstrated its deep Oracle Cloud expertise and leadership
- Reinforced trust: Elire’s team successfully re-established confidence by bridging past relationships with present challenges—proving both historical understanding and forward-thinking strategy
- Clear path to improvement: The assessment uncovered tangible opportunities for process refinement, system configuration updates, and user enablement that Brinker could act on immediately
Ultimately, this engagement strengthened a long-standing partnership while reaffirming Elire’s mission: to be a trusted advisor, delivering not just services, but sustainable, long-term value.
