EPBCS Implementation and JDE Integration

Scope of the Project

The client used an antiquated and unsupported budgeting tool, supplemented with hundreds of spreadsheets that were manually maintained. These spreadsheets provided limited usability and reporting across the enterprise. The Budgeting tool was integrated with JDE via uploads and downloads in spreadsheets.

The StratAlyze Team (now part of Elire) implemented Oracle’s EPBCS for an integrated P&L and balance sheet budgeting and reporting process. This included detailed statistical metric/unit planning and reporting by Business Unit. The team directly connected EPBCS to JDE, enabling drill down and drill through back to JDE details. The team also automated complete financial reporting for Corporate and Business Units.

Success Delivered

The Client now has insights to key financial details with ad hoc reporting and formal dashboards. They now have reduced inefficiencies of manual administrative efforts and have eliminated manual upkeep in spreadsheets. The project team was also able to removed their antiquated on-premises budget tool, avoiding further IT spend.

Company Overview

A leading supplier of construction aggregates and building materials operating as a private company based on the was using state of the art JD Edwards EnterpriseOne for their ERP solution; however, their budgeting process was all in a dated system. They needed a solution that could be used not only as a forecasting tool, but could also integrate with JDE for their forecast. StratAlyze Solutions (now part of Elire) implemented EPBCS to streamline the company’s integration and budgeting solution.
